Subject: LSS at SPC & the skits by the youths

Dear Valentine and Michael,

I would on behalf of my brothers and sisters of the Emmaus Community and the EC Teen Cell thank every one for a job well done. The facilities were very good,  food was yummy, and the support from your teachers was superb and not a small detail - we felt very welcomed! It was our great pleasure to have been given the chance to minister to your youth.

In parting I just want to pass some comments on the skits presented by the 4 groups and hope that you would read it to them.
I will first give you the results as judged by the members of the Teen Cell -  believe me these are veterans because they have done so many themselves. They can almost compete with
Hollywood and Bollywood. Hehe.

You will notice that in fact there are no losers, every one is a winner - they have been taught that thro their experience.

Best Overall Play -  Group 3 - Prodigal Son
Best Props - Group 2 - Jonah
Best Costume - Group 1 David and Goliath
Most Humourous - Group 4 Daniel in the Lion's Den

Best Actor - Reuben (Prodigal Son)
Best Actress - Clarissa (Daniel in the Lon's Den)

Tell the kids that we were very very impressed with their creative flair, their probs were just fantastic. They did a really great job, from Jonah in the whale with the see thro tummy, and the trees that sprouted and died, to the pigs (sound included) in Prodigal Son and the very funny lion (in Daniel) and the giant Goliath. It just shows that given the barest implements, they could come up with such fantastic ideas in so short a time!

Please congratulate them all for us. The King/Queen Darius was delightfully regal and Reuben really put his heart into his role as the Prodigal son. Our Oscar goes to him! Sean as Jonah came a very close second and Gabriel as Goliath and Ian as David came a close third! Loius as the lion was very funny, we all had a good laugh at this antics.

The dialogue in the Prodigal Son was very good and worth commenting on, they have put in a commendable effort.

Keep up the good work!
Christina
