Lenten Pilgrimage to Mt Singai 2010
FFC organizes
annual Lenten Pilgrimage to Mt Singai to practice and
increase our faith.
All
the FFC children, parents and families are encouraged to join in the great
pilgrimage in preparation for Easter.
Pilgrims
travel 33 km from Kuching to the Catholic Memorial
and Pilgrimage Centre (CMPC), Bau.
Stations
of the Cross on the way up Mt Singai, say the Rosary,
participate in a Holy Mass and have a Family Meal on Mt Singai.
“We come as a Family, we pray as a Family, we eat as a
Family”
This
year, we will make the Lenten Pilgrimage on Saturday 13 March (3rd
Week of Lent), led by our Parish Priest Fr Vincent Chin.
Transport will not provided, but if you really need
transport, we can try to arrange car-pooling among pilgrims,
get in touch with Anna Ngiam (019-858 9180) who is
in charge of the Pilgrimage.
CMPC will be preparing our Family Meal.
You will need a prayer book for the Stations of the
Cross, you can download the
book here, this is the same as last year’s.
Last year 2009, we brought 340 pilgrims, in 2008 we
had the largest pilgrim in our history – 360.
This is part of our Faith Formation Program,
Children experience Pilgrimage, Stations of the Cross, Rosary, Holy Mass and
Family Meal, exercise too.
Many people’s faith is increased because of this
pilgrimage, come join us!
