Introduction
We were in Singapore for forty days in April/May 2010. We attended the
daily 3 o’clock Divine Mercy Devotion (DMD) at the Adoration Chapel of the
Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Queen Street. Seeking solace every day we
kneeled and prayed in front of the Blessed Sacrament. We were comforted by the
Merciful Lord in His embrace and before long it was clear that we will be
“bringing home” the daily 3pm Devotion to the Divine Mercy back to Kuching, to
St. Peter’s Church, in Padungan. Immediately after
our return from Singapore, we had the blessing of our Parish Priest, Fr.
Vincent Chin to start the Divine Mercy Apostolate (DMA) in the Parish and to
begin the daily 3pm DMD in St Peter’s Church. DMD was first recited in St.
Peter’s Church on Friday 18 June, 2010. We chose the Feast Day of Saint
Faustina to launch the DMA, it was on Tuesday, 5 Oct.
2010.
Three years down the road, despite our great efforts to introduce and
explain the Devotion to the Divine Mercy, many people want to read more about
the Devotion and the great saint who was chosen and instrumental in bringing
about the Devotion to the world. Here is an introduction to the Devotion to the
Divine Mercy as revealed and recorded in the Diary of Saint Faustina. Its aim
is to generate more interest to the readers and draw many souls to Jesus
through the Divine Mercy Devotion.
Come and be Comforted.
Come and experience the Mercy of God.
Everyday at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Divine
Mercy Devotion Community Prayers at St. Peter’s Church, Padungan,
Kuching.
